Bordeaux Airport has demonstrated a strong beginning of the year by announcing growth it passenger traffic during the first month of the year.
The airport saw a total of 420,600 travelers in January 2019, showing a rise by 8.4% or 32,000 passengers when compared to January 2018. The month welcomed a number of new international flights with 16.7% positive change. The introduction of new destinations brought 201,000 more travelers to Bordeaux Airport.
Low-cost providers contribute to the growth with 213,000 passengers, showing 17.8% positive change, while domestic services also rose by 1.7%.
The airport is confident in its ability to grow even further in 2019 and it is preparing for the rise in traffic thanks to the 28 new services recently announced.
