Caribbean Airlines will be expanding its fleet via the delivery of four brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8s to be received by the carrier on lease agreement with Air Lease Corporation planned for the last quarter of the year.
During Q4 in 2019 Caribbean Airlines will receive its ordered aircraft from its aircraft leasing specialist. The aircraft operator currently has two Boeing 737-800s in its fleet on lease agreement from Air Lease Corporation.
Garvin Medera, Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Airlines, shared that the company is excited to add the Boeing 737 MAX 8 to its fleet for the first time thanks to its partnership with ALC. The company plans to increase its competitiveness and stability on the market through the aircraft and improve its flight services in the Caribbean and North and South America.
Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation, also commented on the partnership, stating that the company is happy to make the announcement regarding the new Boeing 737 MAX 8s.
The aircraft is expected to provide the carrier with better efficiency, improved customer experience, and reductions in the consumption of fuel.
