TAP Air Portugal Receives its Maiden A321LR

TAP Air Portugal has reached a new milestone in its development by taking delivery of its first and brand new Airbus A321LR. The single-aisle aircraft is one of the most capable, technologically advanced product available on the market.

Following the delivery, TAP Air Portugal has become the first airline to operate a fleet of A330neos and A321LRs together, allowing it to successfully cover its medium and long-haul network.

The airline’s newest addition provides a seating capacity of 171 seats in a three-class seating configuration, including Business, Eco Premium, and Economy. In addition, the aircraft provides a fuel consumption reduction of up to 25%, exceptional passenger comfort, and flexibility for the operator.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of TAP Air Portugal, shared that the delivery of the A321LR was essential for the growth objectives of the company. Markets such as North America, South America, and Africa can now be explored by TAP Air Portugal with confidence.

The first route that the aircraft will be employed on will be Lisbon-Tel Aviv.
