VietJet Air released its financial report for the first three months of 2019, demonstrating strength in its international revenue stream. During the time period, the Vietnamese carrier’s overall air transport revenue grew by 28% over the first quarter of 2018. Pre-tax air transport profit was estimated at $39.5 million USD, 25.3% higher year-on-year.
The company reported that its international business outperformed its domestic revenue, with 55%-45% split, respectively. During the quarter, VietJet completed more than 33,000 flights.
By the end of March, the carrier had accomplished 23.4% of its total-year revenue plan, alongside 26.5% of its profit plan.
