China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) celebrated its 100th delivery by handing over its first Airbus A320neo to Frontier Airlines.

This is the first neo that CALC adds to its fleet, and also the first time the Chinese lessor delivers to a US airline. Frontier Airlines is owned by Indigo Partners and CALC is going to delivery four more aircraft to airlines belonging to the same group.

The lessor will hand over two A320neo aircraft to US-based Frontier Airlines and two A320neo aircraft to the Chilean airline JetSMART by the end of 2017. This is a sign of the global expansion for the Chinese lessor, 30% of whose fleet is on lease to non-Chinese customers.

Mr. Mike Poon, Chief Executive Officer of CALC, commented that the company has achieved great success and growth from 0 to 100 aircraft since its establishment in 2006. He pointed out that the lessor provides various services to its customers, trying to be as reliable and flexible as necessary.

CALC buys aircraft directly from the manufacturers and currently has 197 aircraft on order: 147 from Airbus and 50 from Boeing. As of September 2017, CALC ranked as one of the top 10 global aircraft lessors with its combined asset value of fleet and order book exceeding US$10 billion.
