Administrative Assistant – IOSA and ETO Program (Posted April 3, 2017)

mba is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Administrative Assistant. The candidate will assist the Vice President – IOSA Program (VPIP) with the day-to-day administrative activities of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Program and Endorsed Training Organization (ETO). These duties include assisting with travel coordination for auditors, as well as, coordination and development of programs to meet mba goals for various audit programs and services. The Assistant will also coordinate with the VPIP on the recording of auditor qualifications, ensure currency requirements are maintained to established standards, make recommendations to the VPIP regarding potential program improvements and perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations in order to expand skills, knowledge, and qualifications. Other duties include:

  • Manage IOSA travel and logistics requirements
  • Responsible for liasing with mba’s Accounting Department to ensure the invoicing for IOSA related activities
  • Ensure preparation of insurance applications, along with other applicable mba Departments
  • Ensure submission of Certificates of Insurance renewal within seven (7) days of receipt to IOSA Program Office
  • Prepare weekly “Funnel Report” using the template issued by IATA to IOSA Program Office
  • Prepare Audit Agreements as specified in the IOM
  • Assist in marketing of ETO courses
  • Compile Trainee Registration Forms for review and pre-requisite verification
  • Manage ETO travel and logistics requirements, including facility, equipment, and information technology (IT) requirements;
  • Coordinate scheduling and invoicing of Trainees with President, IPE, DAP, and mba’s Accounting Department, as applicable and ensure all payments are received prior to each IAT course start date
  • Coordinate disbursements to IATA with mba’s Accounting Department;
  • May assist with maintenance of Trainee records
  • Ensure all trainees are supplied with applicable preparation materials prior to each course and necessary materials during each course, including manuals, checklists, and guidance materials;
  • Ensure all Trainee records, including complete and graded Written Examinations and proof of payment, are delivered to IATA upon completion of each course
  • Coordinate delivery of IAT Certificates to Trainees once received from IATA
  • Develop tracking, scheduling programs, and analysis of trending
  • Assist in identifying and validating marketing strategies
  • Accomplish assigned project research, produce analysis, and present findings
  • Handle Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable in regards to IOSA and ETO related income and expenses.

ANALYST – AVIATION (Posted April 3, 2017)

mba is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Aviation Analyst to handle the analysis and data collection and computation of airframe asset values and aviation related operational costs (for aircraft, engines and any related asset types), and other related tasks as assigned.  The candidate will be required to work towards an industry appraiser certification.  Duties include:

  • Assist in the aviation market analysis to observe trends in the industry;
  • Create and maintain aircraft specific market reports highlighting positive and negative attributes;
  • Perform aircraft, helicopter and engine appraisals;
  • Assist in the modeling of aircraft, helicopter and engine market valuations;
  • Review and interpretation of aircraft records and technical status sheets to determine aircraft current technical status;
  • Analyze the technical status of an aircraft to determine value adjustments;
  • Develop comprehensive models used in aircraft, helicopter and engine value analysis;
  • Attend industry briefings and conferences to keep current on developments within the aviation space;
  • Prepare market studies relating to aircraft, industry trends and aviation market opportunities.

Skill Set – Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree – aviation related discipline in math, finance, economics or business preferred
  • Strong interest in aviation industry (entry level position – experience not required)
  • Knowledge of MS Excel/MS Powerpoint
  • Ability to perform market research and clearly present analysis to management
  • Highly proficient with mathematical and analytical skills

FINANCIAL ANALYST – BUSINESS VALUATION & ECONOMIC ANALYSIS (Posted April 3, 2017)

mba is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Analyst to join its expanding Business Valuation & Economic Analysis group.  The analyst will model cash flows, value aviation-related enterprises, perform industry research, write reports, make presentations, interact with clients, and attend industry events.  Duties include:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining advanced Excel based valuation and economic models for a variety of client projects, including cash flow forecasting and financial decision models for securitized airline debt and commercial aircraft backed securities (ABS) transactions.
  • Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses on airlines and lessors for potential investment or financial reporting purposes.
  • Perform regression and correlation analyses on factors impacting aircraft values and passenger traffic.
  • Write comprehensive reports on a variety of subjects, including aviation assets, commercial carrier financial status, business plan creation and review, and other various aviation industry strategies and related outcomes.
  • Research and summarize current events including changes in bilateral agreements, FAA rulings, air service, fuel price, epidemics, and other issues affecting air transport.
  • Engage in business development activities including client presentations, demos, proposal writing, and meetings.
  • Develop familiarity with industry data and publications such as Department of Transportation Form 41 data, Boeing Current Market Outlook, Airbus Global Market Forecast, and other resources.
  • Contribute on a regular basis to mba’s publications and other marketing efforts.
  • Must apply for and obtain a CVA or ABV within 18 months of employment.

Skill Set – Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in finance or other business-related degree.
  • Good working understanding of corporate financial statements.
  • Strong understanding of commonly used valuation methodology (income, market, and asset approach).
  • Knowledge of Excel to include Pivot Tables, VLookup and other advanced features.
  • Understanding of Economics and Statistical Analysis.
