Aegean Airlines, the Greek flag carrier, reported its financials for the first half of 2019. The airline received revenues of approximately $572.5 million USD. It posted an after-tax net loss of roughly $14.3 million; this amounted to a 5% improvement over the same stretch of the prior year.
The Athens-based carrier’s traffic rose to about 6.5 million passengers, a 9% year-on-year increase. Its load factor in the first six months averaged 82.2%.
In the first quarter of the year only, the company reported an after-tax net loss totaling about $39.5 million.
