Dublin-based aircraft leasing company AerCap reported on its financial performance in the first quarter of 2019. Its leasing revenues exceeded $1.16 billion USD, up 4% on a year-over-year basis. Net income dropped slightly to about $234 million from $265 million in the first quarter of the prior year.
Highlights for the quarter include over $40 billion in contracted future lease revenues. AerCap is proud of its fleet utilization rate of 99.2%. The company’s portfolio consists of 1,400 aircraft with an average age of 6.2 years.
