Chinese carrier Air Changan has taken delivery of its first new Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease from CDB Aviation at a handover ceremony on November 16 at Boeing Field in Seattle.

The official announcement was made by CDB Aviation, whose President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Chang welcomed the airline as their newest lessee customer and expressed their excitement to support the carrier in growing its fleet.

This is the first time Air Changan receives a new 737-800 aircraft. Currently the carrier operates a 737-800-only fleet to regional destinations from Xian Xianyang International Airport.

Air Changan President Kong Xiangyu commented that, thanks to the cooperation with CDB Aviation, the airline has added its eighth 737-800 plane to its fleet. He also spoke about the rapid development of the company, which performed its first flight on May 9, 2016 and since then added 3 domestic routes and 33 destinations. The carrier’s plan is to continue expanding its fleet and the network it serves.
