Air New Zealand to Grow Boeing 787 Fleet

Alongside its plans to retire eight Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, Air New Zealand will purchase additional Boeing 787 aircraft to support its long-haul routes.

Boeing aircraft already comprise the carrier’s entire widebody fleet. In addition to the 777-200ER, it flies the 777-300ER and 787-9. Since the airline already operates thirteen 787-9 planes, selecting the alternative proposal from Airbus for its A350 would have added complexity to its fleet.
