Air Peace and Embraer Sign Aircraft Order Deal

Air Peace has made a decision regarding a new aircraft acquisition and has selected Embraer and its E195-E2 aircraft. The carrier has shown positive signs of stability and rapid growth since its launch in 2014. The airline is planning to increase its presence in Africa due to the vast opportunities offered by the market with Embraer’s efficient and technologically advanced E195-E2 aircraft.

The aircraft deal includes the acquisition of ten E195-E2s, which will make Air Peace the maiden airline to operate the E2 in Africa. Air Peace is Nigeria’s largest airline and the recent announcement regarding the aircraft order helps the carrier reach a new milestone in its development.

Along with the acquisition of ten E195-E2s, the agreement includes purchase rights for 20 E195-E2, bringing the total value of the contract to $2.12 billion. Air Peace’s aircraft order will be added to Embraer’s 2019 Q2 backlog.

Air Peace Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Allen Onyema, confirmed that the newly ordered aircraft will provide significant improvements in the economics of the company.
