Air Premia Commits to Five More 787 Aircraft

Air Premia, a South Korean start-up airline, signed a commitment with Boeing for five 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This agreement supplements the previous deal it made with Air Lease Corporation for three aircraft of the same model.

“This is an exciting decision for Air Premia as we look to deliver a world-class experience to our customers, while also operating the most fuel efficient fleet… With the 787-9’s superior fuel efficiency and range capabilities, this investment fits perfectly with our unique business model…”

Peter Sim, Air Premia’s Chief Executive Officer

Upon launching commercial operations in September 2020, the airline will fly to regional destinations throughout Asia from its hub at Seoul’s Incheon International Airport.
