Airbus’ detailed report regarding its aircraft delivery accomplishments has been officially released and the aircraft manufacturer reported new record highs for 2018.
During the year, the manufacturer completed a total of 800 aircraft deliveries to 93 international clients. The result meets the initial targets of the company and sets a new record for Airbus, with 11% more deliveries in 2018 than 2017.
Airbus has successfully expanded its aircraft delivery numbers for the past 16 years and has managed to improve every following year.
During 2018, the aircraft manufacturer delivered a total of 20 A220s, 626 A320 Family aircraft, including 386 A320neos, 49 A330s, including its first A330neos delivered to clients, 93 A350 XWBs, and 12 A380s. Nearly all of the aircraft types delivered saw increases in delivery numbers when compared to 2017.
The sales numbers of the manufacturer saw a slight drop, with 747 net orders in 2018 compared to 1,109 net orders in 2017. Guillaume Faury, President Airbus Commercial Aircraft, shared that although the company faced a number of operational challenges it managed to maintain stability and continue working according to plan.
