According to the latest report from Airbus detailing its orders and deliveries activity in May 2019, the company added one order to its backlog and delivered 81 aircraft to 49 customers.
Airbus accomplished a significant milestone in May, by delivering the 12,000th aircraft in its history. Narrowbody models comprise the majority of the airframer’s deliveries. Last month, it delivered 57 A320 family aircraft, which included 47 of its neo version that are equipped with more efficient engines from Pratt & Whitney and GE Aviation.
Typically, the pace of orders slows down each spring in anticipation of summer airshows. When the Paris Air Show kicks off on Monday, June 17th, Airbus and its customers will take advantage of the media attention to publicize many new orders. In May, however, an undisclosed customer ordered one ACJ320neo aircraft for private operation.
