With the delivery of a new A320neo aircraft to British low-cost carrier EasyJet, Airbus marked the completion of the 9,000th airplane in its blockbuster A320 family.
The new aircraft is equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines and will accommodate 186 passengers in an all-economy configuration. At present, EasyJet flies more Airbus narrow-body aircraft than any other operator in the world. mba’s REDBOOK reveals that its primary British operation flies 169 aircraft, its Austrian subsidiary flies 136, and its Swiss subsidiary flies 28.
