Airbus Unveils A321XLR Order by VietJet

VietJet, a Vietnamese low-cost carrier, will add a total of twenty Airbus A321XLR to its fleet. Its deal with the airframer includes the addition of fifteen incremental aircraft to its orderbook, plus the conversion of a previous order for five shorter-range A321neo aircraft.

“VietJet has always been a pioneer in operating new, modern, advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft… Following the signing of this contract, the new A321XLR will be the perfect upgrade to VietJet’s fleet as we look to grow our international flight network.”

Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, VietJet’s President and Chief Executive Officer

Even though Reuters revealed this deal in September, Airbus did not confirm the attribution of the order until today.
