Aircalin, the primary international airline of New Caledonia, took delivery of its first Airbus A330-900 aircraft in a ceremony in Toulouse. The airline plans to take delivery of one more A330neo later in 2019. Trent 7000 engines from Rolls-Royce power the aircraft. The operator outfitted the plane with 26 business, 21 premium economy, and 244 economy seats.
mba’s REDBOOK shows that two A330-200 aircraft carry out all of Aircalin’s long-haul flying. The company will replace both these planes with the next-generation A330-900 aircraft.
