Alaska Air Group, the parent company of Alaska Airlines and its regional affiliates, issued a report regarding its operational performance in July. Overall, the airline’s monthly passenger traffic grew 1.5% year-on-year.
During July, the airline’s mainline traffic remained flat compared to the same month of 2018, with a total of 3.41 million revenue passengers. Its average passenger load factor averaged 88.5%. According to STAR Fleet data from mba’s REDBOOK, a total of 238 Boeing 737 family and Airbus A320 family aircraft comprise the mainline fleet.
The airline’s regional division carried over one million passengers in July, a 7% year-on-year rise. Its passenger load factor rose slightly to 83.4%. The Seattle-based company’s regional flights are operated by subsidiary Horizon Air and two independent parties: SkyWest Airlines and Peninsula Airlines.
