Avianica Argentina, who is owned by Synergy, the majority shareholder of Colombia’s Avianca, has launched its commercial service on November 22 and announced plans for its future development.  

Synergy owner German Efromovich confirmed that the airline plans to add three A320 family aircraft by mid-2018 but didn’t specify from where. He also announced that the first international flights will be to Sao Paolo. The airline has received clearance from the Argentinian government to operate on more than 30 routes, including international destinations to Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. 

Avianica Argentina launched a flight between Buenos Aires Aeroparque and Rosario on November 22 and will add another one to Mar del Plata on 28 November. 

Avianca Argentina was formerly known as Avian Lineas Aereas before it was acquired by Synergy in 2016.
