Avolon has finished a positive year and managed to successfully grow its fleet to a total of 971 aircraft.
During the year, the company completed 61 aircraft deliveries and transitions to 30 clients around the world. Within the aircraft delivery number is the maiden A330neo. In addition, the company completed sales of 87 airplanes.
Investments were made for the acquisition of 100 A320neos worth $11.5 billion with the purpose of improving the existing portfolio.
During 2018’s fourth quarter, Avolon completed 10 aircraft deliveries to 7 clients and completed sale agreements for 25 airplanes. As part of the aircraft sales the company sold 6 aircraft to its joint venture partner Jade Aviation.
In Q4, the company moved 5 aircraft to new lessees, completed a total of 46 lease transactions with existing clients and announced a customer base of 150 customers across 61 countries. The fourth quarter also included the first A330neo delivery to TAP Airlines.
Overall, 2018 was a success for Avolon and the company is looking forward to 2019.
