Avolon, an Irish aircraft lessor, released a report covering its activities in the second quarter of 2019. Compared to the same quarter of the prior year, the company’s fleet shrank by 6% to 530 owned and managed aircraft.
Between April and June, the company took delivery of 15 new aircraft and sold 38 aircraft. At present, it has aircraft placed with 149 different customers in 60 nations.
Last month, the company announced at the Paris Air Show that it will buy 140 CFM LEAP-1A engines to power 70 A320neo family aircraft which it previously ordered from Airbus.
