Azores Airlines, a Portuguese airline based in the Azores archipelago, took delivery of its first Airbus A321LR aircraft. It plans to lease a total of three aircraft of that type from Air Lease Corporation.
The plane is equipped with sixteen business class seats and 174 economy class seats. It is powered by LEAP-1A engines from CFM. The aircraft’s longer range—up to 7,400 kilometers—will support the company’s transatlantic routes to North America.
