Azores Airlines Receives Offer from Loftleidir Icelandic

Azores Airlines, the Portuguese airline based in Ponta Delgada, previously known as SATA Internacional, has received a proposal from Loftleidir Icelandic for the acquisition of 49 percent of the company.

Loftleidir Icelandic, also known as Icelandic Airlines, the private Icelandic airline, has already received authorization in a pre-qualification during the initial stages of the sale of Azores Airlines to be an active participant in the process.

Before a final decision is made regarding the offer, SATA Air Azores must review and analyze the proposal.

Currently, there is a sole shareholder of SATA Group, which is the Autonomous Regions of the Azores.
