British Airways acquired a number of London Gatwick slots from Monarch Airlines but is now leasing them out due to lack of capacity to make use of all of them.
The acquisition of the slots was made official in 2017, through International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, with the aim of primarily using them for the carrier.
The slots have brought significant benefits to British Airways as they allowed the carrier to run a busy Gatwick schedule. However, BA has not been able to use all of the acquired slots for the summer period.
There is no confirmed information on the slot quantity leased and to whom they have been leased to.
