British Airways Awaits First 787-10

British Airways expects to receive its first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft in January 2020. Beginning next February, the carrier will deploy the aircraft on its route between Atlanta and its London-Heathrow hub. It will outfit the new aircraft with eight first class, 48 business class, 35 premium economy class, and 165 economy class seats.

Altogether, the British flag carrier will add twelve aircraft of this sub-model to its fleet; it will take delivery of half of those next year. REDBOOK data shows that the airline currently flies twelve 787-8 aircraft and sixteen 787-9 aircraft.

Several other airlines have received their first 787-10 aircraft this year: ANA in April, EVA Air in June, Vietnam Airlines in August, and Saudia in October.
