Cebu Pacific closed a firm order with Airbus for sixteen A330-900neo aircraft. These aircraft were covered by a Memorandum of Understanding which the low-cost operator signed with the airframer at the Paris Air Show last summer.
“The A330neo is integral to our fleet modernization program. With this purchase, we aim to reduce our fuel emission and build a more sustainable operation. This will also give us the lowest cost per seat…”Lance Gokongwei, Cebu Pacific’s President and Chief Executive Officer
The Filipino carrier signed an MoU in June which covered the aforementioned aircraft plus five A320neo aircraft and ten A321XLR aircraft. Deliveries of all these aircraft will commence in 2021.
