Chorus Aviation Capital, a Canadian aircraft leasing company, signed a sale-and-leaseback agreement with airBaltic. Their deal covers five new Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The operator will take delivery of all five planes before October 2020.

In July, the Latvian carrier revealed its plans to retires its eight Boeing 737 aircraft in 2020 to reduce the complexity of its fleet.
