Czech Airlines Inks Two-Part Airbus Deal

Czech Airlines placed an order with Airbus for four A220-300 regional aircraft. It simultaneously upsized an existing order for three A320neo aircraft to the longer-range A321XLR model. The operator will accommodate 149 passengers aboard the A220-300 aircraft, and 195 passengers in a two-class layout on the A321XLR aircraft.

“The A220 and A321XLR fit well with our long-term business strategy in terms of network expansion. These aircraft will definitely give Czech Airlines a competitive advantage, and will increase the capacity of our regular flights. I believe that this step will be appreciated by our passengers…”

Petr Kudela, Chairman of the Board of Czech Airlines

The airline fleet database in REDBOOK discloses that the airline’s active fleet encompasses nine aircraft.
