Vienna-based easyJet Europe has added the first A319-100 to its fleet. The aircraft was transferred from the UK-based sister carrier easyJet and received new Austrian registration.

Currently, easyJet Europe operates eleven A320-200s.

The airline was launched in July 2017 as a precaution for the results of UK’s Brexit. When the country leaves the EU, easyJet Europe will allow easyJet plc to secure future flying rights for the 30% of its network which remains wholly within and between EU member states.
