El Al Israel Airlines and Alaska Airlines announced they will expand their existing commercial relationship. Under the terms of the agreement, frequent flyers of either operator will receive reciprocal treatment.
Both airlines will operate a wider range of code-share flights. The announcement, celebrated at a ceremony in San Francisco, aims to enhance connectivity between Israel and the West Coast of the US.
Gonen Usishkin, El Al’s chief executive officer, shared that this announcement and his carrier’s new nonstop flights to San Francisco makes sense since it will offer customers a broader range of travel options. Brad Tilden, Usishkin’s counterpart at Alaska, commented that the agreement will bolster its position at its San Francisco hub.
