Embraer has reached a new milestone for its E195-E2 aircraft by receiving certification from ANAC, FAA, and EASA. The Type Certificate was awarded to the aircraft manufacturer at an official ceremony held on the 15th of April in São José dos Campos.
All three regulatory authorities, including ANAC, the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil); the FAA (U.S. Federal Aviation Administration) and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) provided the certification to the company.
Embraer’s largest members of the E-jets E2 family will soon be able to take on the skies and reach its full potential with the newly acquired certification. Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, Embraer President and Chief Executive Officer, shared that the aircraft is now officially approved as the world’s most efficient single-aisle jet available for aircraft operators. The program was completed according to schedule thanks to Embraer team’s hard work.
The aircraft will be in operation during the second half of 2019 and will be operated by Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S.A. Binter Canarias. The delivery to the carrier will soon be completed.
