Embraer managed to complete a total of 45 deliveries during the third quarter of 2017. The manufacturer made 25 commercial and 20 business jets deliveries by the end of September.
The deliveries to the commercial aviation market comprised of 18 E175s, 5 E190s and 2 E195s. Thus, the cumulative number of aircraft delivered in the commercial sector for 2017 totaled 78 with the leading position occupied by the E175 aircraft with 65 deliveries.
The executive jets delivered to business clients were 20 and included 13 light and 7 large jets. The distribution by type of aircraft is: 4 Phenom 100, 9 Phenom 300, 2 Legacy 450, 1 Legacy 500 and 4 Legacy 650. The total number of executive jets delivered so far in 2017 is 59 with a prevailing number (40) for the light jets.
During the third quarter of 2017 Embraer announced a cumulative order of 45 new aircraft made by SkyWest, which were included in the backlog for the period. The same company placed an additional order for 20 E-Jets worth $419 million in the beginning of October.
In September, the company also announced an order of 25 E-Jets for the total amount of $ 1.1 billion as per current list prices that are to be delivered in 2018.
As of September 30, Embraer’s firm order backlog totaled $18.8 billion, which is by $0.3 billion higher than the previous quarter.
