United Arab Emirates’ national carrier Etihad Airways and Egypt’s national carrier Egyptair have publicly released information on the extension of their existing codeshare partnership.
The success of the mutual work so far has led in the continuation of the partnership and the strengthening of the relationship even further, providing increased customer alternatives, range, and comfort. From the 2nd of May, customers of the airlines will be able to benefit from the travel improvements.
Etihad Airways’ Chief Executive Officer Peter Baumgartner shared that the codeshare provides the airline with valuable access to Africa as Egyptair is among the oldest and most expert carriers in the region. The improved connections provide benefits to both carriers and the partnership is beneficial for both parties.
Egyptair’s Chief Executive Office Safwat Mussalam commented that it is a crucial part of the airline’s strategy to create and sustain successful partnerships with other airlines to strengthen and expand existing networks. Australia and South Korea are now markets that Egyptair can tap into as a result of the codeshare with Etihad.
