Fiji Airways announced its plans to commence a Tokyo service in the summer of next year. The carrier will operate a flight between Nadi and Tokyo Narita three times a week starting July 3, 2018.

The route will be serviced by the carrier’s Airbus A330s. This marks a return of Fiji Airlines to this destination, after its predecessor Air Pacific cancelled the flights back in 2009.

The carrier will face no direct competition along the route as currently it is the only one flying between Fiji and Japan.
