First A350 for British Airways

British Airways celebrated the arrival of its first Airbus A350 aircraft. It intends to receive eighteen aircraft of that model in total. The airline will take delivery of three more A350s in the next five months. This plane is the company’s first that offer business class passengers the latest-generation Club Suite seat.

This event follows other company milestones which have occurred in 2019. The airline marked its 100th birthday in May. IAG, its parent company, placed significant orders with both Airbus and Boeing at the Paris Air Show in June.

IAG also owns Aer Lingus, Iberia, Vueling, LEVEL. According to mba’s REDBOOK, the active British Airways mainline fleet entails 277 aircraft.

Multiple operators have received their first A350 planes in recent months, such as Japan Airlines and China Southern.
