During the 2019 Dubai Airshow, GE Capital Aviation Services announced that it signed a lease agreement with SalamAir. The Omani low-cost carrier will take delivery of two new Airbus A321neo aircraft from GECAS’s orderbook with Airbus. Both planes will be powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. CFM is a joint venture between GE Aviation and Safran.
Per REDBOOK, SalamAir operates a fleet comprised exclusively of A320 aircraft from its base at Muscat International Airport.
