Great Dane Airlines, a start-up airline based in Aalborg, Denmark, officially became Embraer’s newest customer at the airframer’s annual European Airlines Business Seminar.
The company intends to launch operations this summer with two Embraer E195 aircraft. The planes were acquired from Stobart Air, a regional carrier in Ireland.
According to Thomas Møller, Great Dane’s founder and chief executive officer, his venture will provide air travel options to the Northern Jutland region. Historically, other operators to turn profits on these routes as they lack sufficient demand.
