KLM Cityhopper with Additional Embraer Aircraft

The regional airline subsidiary of KLM, KLM Cityhopper (KLC), has enlarged its fleet by adding another Embraer, which represents the 49th Embraer aircraft that the carrier possesses and the last of its kind to be received.

The new aircraft is an E175+ and is part of a strategic renewal program organized by the company, with the aim of modernizing and using the most suitable aircraft to satisfy demand.

KLC currently employs the largest Embraer fleet in Europe and uses the aircraft only on short-haul flights within the region. The choice of aircraft complies with the company’s objective of raising sustainability by employing airplanes which offer fuel savings and fewer environmentally harmful emissions.

Embraer’s 175+ is the ideal fit as the aircraft reduces fuel by 22 percent when compared with earlier versions of aircraft employed, such as the Fokker 70.

No further orders have been made by KLC at the time being for additional E175+s.
