Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), the operator of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), released its July passenger traffic data report. The airport served over 8.46 million passengers this July, 0.47% higher compared to the same month of 2018. Domestic travelers accounted for 70% of all passenger traffic.
LAX played host to 62,000 aircraft movements, a 1.74% year-on-year decrease. The facility’s cargo operations moved 6.34% fewer tons of freight, matching the global slowdown in the air freight industry.
