Lion Air Receives First A330neo

Lion Air took delivery of its first Airbus A330-900 aircraft through a lease agreement with BOC Aviation. The Indonesian airline is the first Asian operator to fly an A330neo.

In 2018, the Jakarta-based operator signed a deal with Airbus for ten firm A330neo orders plus four options. It will lease eight of these aircraft from BOC Aviation.

The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000-72 engines. Lion Air configured the plane with a high-density interior consisting of 436 economy class seats.
