Mesa Air Group, the parent company of Mesa Airlines, published its financial report for the second quarter of 2019. The airline operates flights as American Eagle and United Express.
Between April and June, the firm received operating revenues of $170.3 million, up 6.5% year-on-year. It incurred operating expenses of $163.1 million and thus posted an operating income of around $17 million. Mesa closed the quarter with a $3 million net income.
The company’s total number of departures in the quarter grew by 7% to 61,798. It carried approximately 3.7 million passengers, 8% more than in the same time period of 2018.
The Phoenix-based company’s fleet includes 145 regional aircraft with which it conducts about 761 flights each day.
