Orient Thai Airlines has become the thirteenth Thailand-based commercial carrier to receive recertification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT). 

The official statement about the success of the carrier was issued on November 28. According to it, the new Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) of Orient Thai Airlines was issued on November 9, 2017, and is valid through November 8, 2022.  

The Thailand carrier operates an all Boeing fleet that consists of six 737-300s, two 737-400s, four 747-400s, five 767-300s, and two 767-300(ER)s. The aircraft were used on international flights to several destinations in Thailand and China before the airline suspended operation in September 2017. 

There are several more operators awaiting to receive re-certification from CAAT, which expects to complete the process in January 2018.
