Volaris, the Mexican ultra-low-cost carrier, published its traffic results for May 2019. The company transported about 1.9 million passengers, 28.3% higher than in the same month of 2018.
Passenger demand, measured in revenue passenger miles (RPM), jumped by 26.1%. In one year, the carrier’s load factor rose from 85.8% to 88%.
According to the airline’s president and chief executive officer, Enrique Beltranena, the favorable timing of Easter and the addition of 17 routes contributed to these strong results.
