Scandinavian Airlines has released details about its plan to add the Airbus A350 aircraft type to its fleet. The company anticipates that deliveries of its eight on-order A350 aircraft will commence in January 2020.
According to Karl Sandlund, an executive vice president at the airline, SAS believes the plane is ideally-suited to meet the demands of its network.
After entering the airplane into commercial service on its Copenhagen-Chicago route, the airline plans to expand the A350 route network to include Beijing, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and San Francisco. SAS will configure the planes with 40 business class, 32 premium economy class, and 228 economy class seats.
