SAS Scandinavian Airlines has taken delivery of the first aircraft that is going to be operated by the new SAS Scandinavian Airlines Ireland unit. The A320neo plane was transported from Hamburg Finkenwerder to Stockholm Arlanda last week and awaits deployment to the Irish-based carrier.
SAS Ireland needs to complete all certification procedures before entering into operation later this month. The first flights to be performed are from its base, London Heathrow, to Copenhagen Kastrup and Stockholm Arlanda. Further flights from Stockholm Arlanda to Malaga, Brussels National, Edinburgh, Frankfurt International, Manchester International, and Oslo Gardemoen will be added in February 2018.
