SWISS has reached a new record high in 2018, demonstrated in its financial report for the year.
During 2018, the company reached Adjusted EBIT for CHF 636 million, setting a new record in the history of the company’s operations. The result also shows a significant improvement of 16% from 2017, when Adjusted EBIT was CHF 548 million.
The achievement was made possible thanks to amendments made within the company’s fleet, leading to better aircraft efficiency, improved economics, and optimal cost management.
SWISS also increased its capacity and seat load factors, reaching revenue of CHF 5.30 billion or increasing 2017’s revenue by 7%. During 2018, the company carried 18 million travelers and added two Boeing 777-300ERs and 13 CSeries aircraft to its fleet.
