Textron Aviation Inc. announced at the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) that it is going to deliver its 100th Cessna Citation Latitude midsize business jet to NetJets, Inc.
The process of handing over the aircraft to NetJet will be at Textron Aviation headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. The delivery of the 100th jet comes just 26 months after the first aircraft of the type entered service. During 2016, Textron Aviations delivered 42 Cessna Citation Latitudes, which means that the midsized jet was the most delivered one of its class for the last year.
“Two and a half years ago, this business didn’t exist at Cessna,” Textron Aviation President and CEO Scott Ernest said recently. “Now it’s a billion-dollar business.”
As a longtime customer, NetJets extended its total Cessna Citation Latitude up to 200 jets. After NetJets received their first Latitude in June 2016, they have reported the aircraft as the best-selling one in their fleet. This is due to the combination of comfort and operation features offered by the jet. The Cessna Citation Latitudes has a maximum range of 2,850 nautical miles and offers the most spacious cabin environment in its category. The standard seating configuration allows the jet to accommodate up to nine passengers, who can enjoy the innovations like a new cabin cooling system and pressurization system.
