Thai Airways International launched a service from Vienna to Bangkok, offering four non-stop flights a week between the two cities.  

The inaugural flight was on November 16 and was officially celebrated at a press conference hosted by Mrs. Usanee Sangsingkeo, Acting President of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), and Mr. Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG. 

Mr. Jäger welcomed the airline to Vienna Airport and expressed his belief that the new connection will be beneficial for both the carrier and the hub as well as for business and leisure travelers.  

Mrs. Sangsingkeo confirmed that the new service is part of the network expansion of their airline and will be an important factor for boosting Thailand’s economy. The flight offers comfortable connection between Vienna and Bangkok and convenient connections to other European destinations from the Australian city and to Asian and Australian routes from the Thai capital. 

Mr. Norbert Kettner, Director of the Vienna Tourist Board, who also welcomed Thai Airways in Vienna expressed his satisfaction that the four weekly fights able to sit nearly 1,400 passengers will strengthen the high-quality services along the Australia-Vienna axis.
