Thomas Cook Group, a London-based tour operator and leisure airline, collapsed on Monday due to insurmountable financial difficulties. Alongside its primary British operating arm, the group controls three additional airline divisions: Thomas Cook Balearics (Spain), Thomas Cook Scandinavia (Denmark), and Condor (Germany).
The STAR Fleet database in mba’s REDBOOK reveals that the combined all-Airbus fleet of the three Thomas Cook brands comprises 60 aircraft.
Condor has requested a bridge loan from the German government in order to avoid sharing the fate of its parent company. That operator has 52 aircraft in its fleet, per REDBOOK.
