Wilmington International Airport (ILM) welcomes United Airlines who will start two non-stop services from the hub to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Dulles/Washington DC area (IAD) as of April 9.

The new daily flights will be beneficial to travelers from all segments – from business and higher educational leaders to families and tourists.

Chicago is ranked in the first five top destinations for passengers traveling from ILM since it is both a great place for vacation and the airport offers convenient connections to West Coast and international routes. Washington Dulles is preferred by those traveling to DC for business or for leisure.

Julie Wilsey, ILM airport director, expressed the readiness of the facility to support the growth of United Airlines and welcomed the new partnership.

Grant Whitney, United’s vice president of Domestic Network Planning, said that they are aiming to turn ILM as the preferred choice for customers traveling from their Chicago and our Washington, D.C. hubs.
